i’m nico. i write this blog. it’s called in between the lines because that’s where the building happens. in between the phone calls, the shifts and the sleep.
short version: twenties, so cali, sells solar and home warranty upgrades over the phone all day, vibe codes side projects at night on a 2015 mac air, and writes down what actually happened. real numbers, even when they’re zero.
what this blog is
a build in public diary. a post most days i build something, written from what i posted on x that day. the ideas, the dumb questions i asked in the replies, the stuff that broke, the money (so far $0), and gus.
it’s not a tutorial site. i’m new at this. if you want to watch somebody figure out indie hacking from zero with a day job, in real time, that’s what this is.
where to start
- day 1. idea at 2am, the night it started. no idea what to build.
- i made $0 this month, my numbers next to everybody else’s.
- all posts, newest first. there’s an rss feed too.
- projects, everything i’m building with the real mrr.
the rules i write by
i only post real numbers. revenue, followers, users. if it’s zero it says zero.
i write it the way i talk. mostly lowercase. sometimes i swear.
the pictures go through my ascii filter. the avatar is me through that filter. that’s the only picture of me you’ll find here.
the dog
gus is my yorkie and my cto. he decides when the laptop closes. he shows up in most posts because he’s there for most of them.
